Kindergarten

Building A Foundation

Kindergarten at Blue Ridge Christian School is a place of excitement and growth. It is our goal that children who attend kindergarten receive the following:

    • A solid foundation for each child to reach their God-given potential.

    • Hands-on activities that will instill a passion for life-long learning.

    • Instruction in Bible, Spanish, Music, Art and P.E. to explore new interests.

We would consider it an honor to partner with you as your child grows in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Considering the Whole Child

We believe that the purpose of a Kindergarten program is to develop the whole child.

  • Educating the whole child means that we teach the child spiritually, academically, socially, and physically.

  • We combine developmental and academic experiences to reach this goal.

The Kindergarten program strives to develop a child’s growing awareness of God as Creator, Sustainer, and Savior.

  • Students are guided through prayer, a respect for and regular use of the Bible, and ongoing reference to God’s work in the world and in their daily lives is integrated across all curriculum areas to include scripture memorization.

Diverse starting points

Our Kindergarten accommodates students at a variety of stages in the reading acquisition process.

  • Those who enter as readers are provided a literature-rich environment where they are encouraged to read and write during regular activity time. More advanced books are accessible for those who are already reading.

Kindergarten is a time of discovery, socialization, language development, body image awareness, and excitement about learning. BRCS lays a strong foundation in preparing the child for a successful first grade experience.
