Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments of Holy Scripture (the Bible) to be inspired by the Holy Spirit, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15; 2 Peter 1:21).
WE BELIEVE there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1-2; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).
WE BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is God the Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23); Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (Isaiah 53:4-6); 1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 1:7); His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians15:4); His ascension to the right hand of God the Father where He intercedes for His people (Mark 16:19; Hebrews 7:25); His personal, visible return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11).
WE BELIEVE in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature; and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and that only by God's grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29)
WE BELIEVE in the Universal Church as a spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ; and in the necessity of the local organized church for the nurture of Christians and their families by the ministry of the Word of God (Ephesians 2:19-22; 4:11-16; Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).
WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, Who indwells Christians uniting them as one in Christ, Who enables them to live a godly life and empowers them to serve in the church and community in the name of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:1-7 & 30; 5-18).
Statement of Educational Philosophy
Christian education is the process whereby the student is taught to observe the world from God?s perspective and to conduct his/her life in a manner that is consistent with God?s revealed truth (Psalms 25:5; Proverbs 16:13; John 1:14 & 7:14b; II Timothy 2:15). The school is committed to academic excellence in helping students to develop their attitudes to learn truth, which can only be properly understood in the context of God?s Word and in the example of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Holy Bible clearly teaches that parents bear ultimate responsibility for the education, training, and rearing of their children. The school assists the Christian home by reinforcing Christian values (including standards of behavior, morality, and discipline), and by providing specialized instruction in the academic disciplines. Because of the independent nature of the home?s and the school?s functions, it is essential that a spirit of cooperation and mutual support be fostered (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Psalms 78:4-6; Ephesians 6:4; Proverbs 22:6).
The school extends the work of the local church by providing an environment for students to grow in spiritual maturity. It strengthens the church through Bible teaching, character development, emphasis on missions, and leadership skills. In an interdenominational setting, this is strengthened through the centrality of Christ and God?s Word. The cooperation of the home, church, and school are vital in the development of a consistent worldview.
The school is committed to encourage and enable its students to become more informed, skilled, and compassionate disciples within the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. While not able to meet the educational needs of all students, the school is committed to the development of a program that will enable students to continue their education toward a college preparatory path, if they so choose. The school desires to make this available to all parents who desire a Christian education regardless of their economic situation.
